The Hall was my first introduction to interactive design. Inspired by the release of Hideo Kojima's playable teaser, I wanted to create an experience similar in convention. A complete beginner to any form of game development, I used Microsoft's now discontinued Project Spark platform to build the game. Being my first experience creating interactive media, I learned a ton about the process of creation. Points of particular interest included user experience and overall game structure. Clocking in at about an hour long, The Hall is a first person horror game in which the player navigates the same hall through different dimensions. Unfortunately, Project Spark discontinued server support about a week after my completion of The Hall, so it is no longer playable. To keep a record of the project, I've documented the game with a full play-through that is viewable on my YouTube channel.
